Kijani’s Story

Kijani Testing was founded in December 2019 and is focused redefining the approach to product development of sustainable technologies in emerging markets.

Our services focus on market research, customer experience and aftersale support. We bridge the gap between the innovator and the customer through all product development stages, by addressing 3 main issues;

      • Designers and sellers not understanding their customer needs and on the flip side, the customers not understanding how new technologies work – to address this our services are;
      • Lack of independent verification to access marketing claims; to address this we offer rapid assessment lab tests designed from internationally recognised test procedures.
      • Lack of effective aftersale support for Productive Use of Renewable Energy (PURE) products. These products, often used in resource-constrained environments, face challenges such as harsh operating conditions, limited technical expertise, and inadequate access to spare parts. Without proper maintenance and repair services, these technologies risk premature failure, undermining the investments made in sustainable development and energy access.

Why Kijani?

Testing Techniques

We test different parameters of your products in line with relevant established and internationally acceptable testing procedures like Global Leap Testing Methodologies, Verasol Quality Assurance Parameters, relevant International Standards Organization (ISO) standards and the Ministry of Energy of Kenya prescribed standards.

We have a team of well-trained, competent and equipped electrical and mechanical engineers, data analysts, renewable energy professionals, monitoring, evaluation and learning officers who take their time to understand your project, the expected deliverables, time frames and the impact their work has on your business. With this, we aspire to deliver on all our assignments to the satisfaction of our clients.

Through our aftersale support services we offer last mile repairs for different PUEs by reusing functional parts extracted from other similar products that have reached their end of life; this refurbishing is a key component of the circular economy, which aims to minimize e-waste and make the most of resources. Together, these practices help close the loop in production and consumption, leading to more sustainable use of resources and reduced environmental impact.

Our team of professionals operate autonomously, make decisions and act ethically without being subjected to any form of external pressure. This guarantees that our findings are free of any prejudice, and you can rely on them to make decisions that affect your business.

Our operations are guided by strict compliance to the specifications of key International standards; the ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 19001 that ensures our systems are robust, responsive, reliable and supports top notch services.
